This book is translation of "Solving Industrial Engineering Problems" published in Japanese by Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun in 1995, wich was in turn based on "Solving Industrial Engineering Problems," a series of lecturese published in Japanese in "IE Review", the Japan Institute of Industrial Engineering's Journal (vol.31, no.2 and vol.35, no.1). The original text has been revised to adapt it to defferent and wider audience outside of Japan
