Graphic representation of a theory as an organized conceptual system is a way of highlighting some of the characteristics of that theory that would have been difficult to bring out otherwise. To illustratte this viewpoint, macroeconomic theory as a whole is representated graphically and analyzed using COPE software. The results show the theory's density, the relative centrality of its factors, and its hoeostasis, as illustrated by the precense of positive and negative loops. The limitations of the approach are discussed at length.
