This collection of original articles on HRD, is devided into two sections. The first concentrates on HRD as a polical undertaking, and amounts essentially to a series of sound advice for statemen. The tone is strongly set by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, with his insights that culture, skills and development are interconnected, and that serious change must therefore involve serious cultural innovation.
The second section of this book considers HRD as the central concern of national and international companies. It focuses on strategic elements in HRD and practical plans for developing competence in corporations, and provides examples of corporate experiences. (cited from the back cover)
