Digital fairness vs. Facebook's dream of world dom



The article discusses the concept of fairness as applied to corporate
involvement in global Internet access efforts. Particular focus is given
to the social media website Facebook and its Internet.org initiative,
which is designed to offer free access to certain websites, including
its own, via mobile phone. According to the author, private firms are
better equipped to fill Internet access gaps than the public sector.
Details on the relationships between mobile phone subscriptions, digital
advancement, and private equity are presented.
