The article focuses on how unicorns, which are startup businesses valued
at more than 1 billion dollars, grow and perform after they are
transformed from privately-held to publicly-held companies. A report by
the consulting firm Play Bigger determined that companies that went
public between their sixth and tenth years were more successful than
those that went public earlier or later. The study looked at startup
firms' market capitalization and also determined that companies that are
leaders in their categories created most of their value after going
public.
