PENGARUH KOMPONEN RPIC (RADICAL PRODUCT INNOVATION



Riset peneliti merupakan pengujian atas 10 proposisi dari studi yang dihasilkan oleh Slater, S.F., Mohr, J.J. & Sengupta, S. (2004). Kemampuan inovasi radikal memungkinkan perusahan untuk tetap bisa selaras dengan kebutuhan pelanggan yang berubah cepat. 10 Proposisi membentuk model konseptual yang membutuhkan pengujian adanya pengaruh komponen Radical Innovation Capability (Senior Leadership, Organizational Culture dan Organizational Characteristics) terhadap Strategi Peluncuran Produk dan Kinerja Radical Product Innovation. Penelitian menggunakan 112 kuesioner terisi dari manajer/asisten manajer produk yang melakukan inovasi produk di perusahaan SME di Indonesia. Hasil diolah dengan Latent Variable Score-SEM. Hasil menunjukkan Senior Leadership memiliki pengaruh terhadap Organizational Culture. Organizational Culture mempengaruhi proses RPIC (Radical Product Innovation Capability) dan Strategi Peluncuran Produk. Strategi peluncuran produk mempengaruhi Kinerja Radical Product Innovation. Ada beberapa hubungan yang tidak mendukung hipotesis dan perlu penjelasan lebih lanjut.

This research examines ten propositions yielded by the studies done by Slater, S.F., Mohr, J.J. and Sengupta, S. in 2004. A company's Radical Innovation Capability permits it to be able to remain aligned with the fast-changing Consumer Needs. Out of ten examined propositions, nine form a conceptual model with a further examination of the influence of Radical Innovation Capability (Senior Leadership, Organizational Culture and Organizational Characteristics) upon Product Launching Strategies and Radical Product Innovation Performance. The research distributes 112 questionnaires to Product Managers and Assistant Managers practising Product Innovation at the small-medium companies in Indonesia. The questionnaires' repercussions are next processed by Latent Variable Score-SEM. As a result, Senior Leadership is influential towards Organizational Culture. Organizational Culture, then, is influential towards Radical Product Innovation Capability (henceforth RPIC) and Product Launching Strategies. Moreover, Product Launching Strategies are influential towards Radical Product Innovation Performance. Furthermore, there are some relationships which are against the hypothesis, wherein further explanation is required.
