Howeever, various cchallenges are faced by thee institutionns in the impleementation of the Engineeriing Technologgy programs, wwhich have siggnificant negattive impact onn the nationn in general aand, in particuular the graduuates from thee programs. DData was colleected from a brainstormingg session beetween six orgganizations invvolved in proviiding engineerring technologyy education inn Malaysia and the Universitii Teknologgi Malaysia (UTTM) and a connvention on EEngineering Teechnology Futture in Malaysiia. This paper describes andd discusses the challengess faced in the eefforts to expaand engineerinng technology programs in MMalaysia, and pproposes wayss to overcoome them.</note>
