Advanced SearchDirect investment
Indonesia has achieved a remarkable transformation of its economy over the past three decades. At one time in the past largely closed to western foreign aid and previously dependant on basic agricultural and oil, the Indonesian economic today is growth oriented and outward- looking, driven primarily by the manufacture of diversified products for international markets. Sustained direct investment in production facilities and in supporting physical, Financial and social infrastructures has been critical to the economic restructuring. Once dominated by state involvement and intervention, the economy has undergone progressive and sweeping deregulation, especially over the past decade, thereby encouraging and facilitating a growing private sector investment contribution and enhanced complementarily between private and public sector investment.
